My dog finally decided to trust the new chew bone I gave her, and now she’s tearing it up. I think I really should refuse to ever buy anything plastic again, and now she’s so happy there’s nothing I can do but pray for her belly to be safe.
I knew better than to buy that one dollar chew bone with pokey out bits of even more dangerous plastic, that i’m sure she has been ingesting. Dear Lord, please protect my babydog. She’s actually a full grown Ms. Lady Dog, but being so little, I just can’t help but pick her up sometimes. She doesn’t really cuddle though, and as Chief from Isle of Dogs might say, “She bites.”
It’s a sad day when one might say to our nation’s future leader, whoever he may be, that he should get a chew bone for Christmas. Actually only one of the contenders really merited a chew toy, and I hope you know who that was. I’m definitely tuning in to the next debates, and we shall see what goes on. I’m rock solid behind my choice, though, because it’s an obvious one.
At this point I must confess that in the past I have refused to vote, but I won’t ever, ever do that again. It’s crazy that the abortion issue has entirely muddled things up, because that should really just be a private issue for healthcare or priests, as it has been in the past, and I refuse to grant anyone automatic morality points when their character seems lacking on a grander scale. Yes, abortion is terrible, so please let us remember how awful those other major issues are, and they are just as important, if not more so.
I pray that we all might emerge from this terrible year with hope in out hearts, and a commitment to making the world a kinder place. To live out our faith means to love like there is no tomorrow, because the way things are going now, there may not be one. Actually, time will keep on moving forward, and maybe one day people will learn to behave themselves.
